My best friend recommended a book to me called "Jesus Calling" and it's absolutely wonderful! The daily reads are really short so there isn't a lot of time commitment (if you don't want it) and the format is like the messages are written from Jesus himself. It's kind of promoting communication with God through a dialogue versus a prayer, which often feels one-sided.
This book has been like crack to me. The messages are always so relevant and it really does offer a moment of peace in my day, every day.
A recurring topic on my mind is one of busyness. The world we live in pretty much demands we stay busy all. the. time. And let me tell you, I love being busy! I just perform best that way. I'm a do-er and an overachiever. But with being prone to anxiety and depression this can get DANGEROUS really fast. I try to find moments of peace wherever I can, and this book is a daily reminder and encourager of that. What a refreshing change of pace!
So, I know you're just as busy as any other gal/guy out there. Are you making conscious efforts to have your own moments of peace? What do those moments look like for you?

I love this! I'll have to get my hands on that book ;)
I could use a good read like that. I'm not one to like reading all that much but this sounds do-able and I probably could use a little more God in my life. :) Thanks for sharing!
Finding things on pinterest that don't have a source is the worst! I always feel so bad for the artist!
I'm looking that book up now! Thanks for the recommend!
