Wait, You're Not a Centaur

I'm trying to find sources of inspiration as it is much needed for my life right now. I've been feeling kind of down lately so right now is all about empowering myself until I get back on top, like I used to be.

Three things:
1//This book, "Wait, You're Not a Centaur" by Nate Denver, is ah-mazing. He does all the illustrations for it too. Awesome. Just trust me.
2//Check out my friend Ben's post on happiness. "It's in solitude that the nature of this happiness is revealed because it is there that we are most haunted by notions of self."
Ben is kind of an awesome illustrator himself (as evidenced by my refrigerator), not to mention the most happy-go-lucky person I've ever met. And here he is with sweet Simon. Ben's in France right now so he couldn't participate in the hug/cry party that all of Simon's extremely good-looking friends had last weekend. We're planning on reuniting in Switzerland next summer and will probably have a good hug fest. Perhaps you should check him out on Twitter too, as he's quite the hilarious tweeter,
3//I've decided to keep my blog design shop open. I kind of love it way too much to stop, plus I've got some pretty exciting things in my future that require a decent sum of money. I'm not taking new clients on at the moment, but will announce it when I am. And I'm still going to offer pre-made templates as well.

So what keeps you happy and going in life? Give me all of your secrets.

Love the elephant page. I keep happy by making pretty things. This weekend I baked pretty cookies and spend time with my best friend, painted a bird's house and played with glow sticks in a jar. It was fun!

I'm going to have to look into that book. I keep myself happy by remembering the people around me who care about me and by spending time with them.

Hey honey, I'm sorry you're having a hard time. I'd give you hugs if I could! Hows about a virtual one?
