Shaloam! My name is Melanie and I'm 24 years old. I'm in school to become a graphic designer, but I actually already do some cool
blog design/logo work already. I don't go to school for fashion design, but I wanted to a few years ago. I still spend many sweet, quiet moments with my sewing machine (actually, they really aren't all that quiet). Those are my favorite kind of
DIY posts to share with you (even though a good home decor DIY or recipe is always fun).

other bloggers when I love what they're doing (seriously, it's my most used and abused label for posts)!
My blog is named after my Granny. After she passed away I created a
Tumblr with her name, then half-started a clothing line with it. Even though the clothing line didn't work out I just
knew at some point I'd be able to have a creative outlet named after her. Now her name is home to this lifestyle blog and my design services, but more importantly its the brand I've created for myself.
I aim to be encouraging,
inspiring, relatable and genuine to anyone that I come across in real life or through this blog. I want to stay "
real" but
optimistic. I live an incredibly happy, flawed, and blessed life and I want others to know, have, or find that too.
